I made my way over to another Crossfit Sentinel Location, but this time it was located in the downtown area. In Seoul, there’s no proper downtown area, so I guess this affiliate gets it’s name from the being close to City Hall.
I arrived for a 3:30 pm class, an early one because of the light attendance. The box is split into two areas. The locker rooms and staff area is on one-side of the hallway while the actual workout area is across the hall.
The actual workout area is again split into two areas, one for the actual WOD and one for boot camp, which was running concurrent to our WOD.
The WOD consisted of:
- Toes to Bars
With about 10 or members in the class, the space was ample, but didn’t feel overly crowded.
The coach for my class was limited with his English so it mostly conducted in Korean. The class ran for about an hour, which was good because I had to be somewhere at 5pm.
This box has the nicest facilities out of any CF affiliate I visited so far. The locker room is probably the largest I’ve seen. Given the size, I’m surprised by the lack of benches.
There’s a large shower area equipped with individual stalls. Again, like the other Sentinel affiliate, there’s shampoo and body wash.
I think this is Korea or Asian standard with the dish drying sized towels that’s used for showers. I certainly missed the Western standard bath sized bath towels.
By subway you want to get off the “Euljio-sam-ga” stop and use exit 3. Look for the Pine Avenue Building and go down the escalators once you’re inside. From the escalator you want to turn around and walk straight to find the entrance.
